Tolkien It Off is a burlesque parody of the Lord of the Rings universe and all of the films that have been adapted and inspired by Tolkien’s writing. Whether you’re looking forward to the sensual elegance of the elves, the elder magic of wizards, or the nasty creatures that live in the dark, we’ve got something special for you.
As one of Florida’s most beloved, best reviewed, longest running, and most sold-out touring productions, Tolkien It Off stands out. Beginning in 2015, Tolkien it Off was founded by Ruby Tesla and Kissa Von Addams. Our first shows in West Palm Beach and Orlando were a hit, and audiences from all over started asking when we’d travel to their city. Since then, with the help of local production support from Franki Markstone, Jenna Beth, Envy Inferno, and others, we’ve since taken this show to Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tampa, Lake Park, and more, all to sold-out houses and great reception.
Now, to celebrate 10 years of Tolkien It Off, we’re thrilled to bring this production back home to its original city WPB, to its biggest venue yet! 8pm doors, 9pm show Dance until 2AM with DJ Lindersmash and the Middle-earth Gogo Dancers. Wear your best Tolkien-inspired costume to participate in the costume contest at midnight and possibly win a prize.

Ruby Tesla
A sign of things to come occurred in high school in Nassau, Bahamas. In her tenth grade year, her school eliminated its drama program, so Ruby took it upon herself to start an after school theatre program and directed a stage production of The Nightmare Before Christmas, to rave reviews. Ten years later, she debuted her Tim Burton themed burlesque revue Burtonlesque at the Kelsey Theater.
Besides what happens on stage, Ruby is committed to all of the work that takes place behind the scenes. She taught herself how to sew and learned corset making from internet tutorials, and creates the majority of her costumes & props from scratch. She takes pride in the art of stage makeup and costuming, and spends countless hours refining her craft.
Ruby has a deep passion for cinema and studied it in college at UCF in Orlando. She worked as a professional video editor & director for six years. Today, when she’s not performing on stage, Ruby works as a producer, coordinating and overseeing commercials, music videos, reality shows, and more, all around the world.
