THE LOVERS CARNAVAL is a one of a kind, immersive, multimedia extravaganza. This sexy and elegant costume and dance party by the NEW DECO® ORCHESTRA uniquely brings together the romance of Valentine’s Day with a celebration of these world famous party traditions:
Brazilian Carnaval, Venetian Masquerade Ball and a Mardi Gras Bacchanal!
The New Deco® Orchestra was founded in NYC by artistic director, guitarist,
vocalist and Broadway veteran Manny Moreira, and further developed here in Florida with his partner and singer extraordinaire Lou Wilkin. The show will feature an 11 piece band including six horns and an additional four singers. The repertoire never ceases to excite and surprise with swampy funk from New Orleans, hard hitting samba grooves and loungy Bossa novas from Brazil and romantic arias and art songs from Italy.
Also included are classic, romantic standards by Gershwin and Porter plus
contemporary pop and R&B; 40s swing; 50s ballads, 60s Motown, 70s disco, and 80s favorites right through to the music of today. Mesmerizing World Music repertoire also includes Afro-Cuban mambos, cha-cha’s and bolero’s.
The evening will feature a specialty menu of Brazilian, Italian and New Orleans’ cuisine and crafted cocktails. Topped off by provocative projections and lighting, you will find yourself transported into a seductive retro-nouveaux supper club ambience and feast for the senses dance party.
